Call for Abstract
May 2003
Contributions
The authors are invited to send a title and abstract of 150 to 200 words to the
Scientific Committee before 31 August 2003.
The Committee will distribute the papers among the Parallel Sessions 1 to 10 and
select the oral papers and the posters.
All the papers will be published in the 9th issue of the EGF series 'Grassland Science in Europe'.
Abstracts and papers have to be submitted according to the instructions on this website.
Young researchers
Attendance of young European researchers is planned to be promoted and supported.
More information will be made available on the website during the summer of 2003.
Submission of Abstracts
Instructions to the authors:
We are kindly inviting all those researchers intending to offer a paper to submit
an abstract -no later than 31 August 2003.
The authors have to submit the title and abstract of 150 to 200 words before
31 July 2003 according to the instructions below.
The Scientific Committee will distribute the papers among the Parallel Sessions
1 to 10 and select the oral papers and the posters.
If the abstract has been accepted you will be invited to send the full paper.
The detailed instructions to authors for the preparation of full papers will be sent
to the corresponding authors of all accepted abstracts.
Deadline for submission of the full paper manuscripts is 31st October 2003.
All full length manuscripts will be peer-reviewed, so the submission does not
automatically mean acceptance of the paper.
All accepted papers will be published in the 9th issue of the EGF series
'Grassland Science in Europe', which in addition to the book will also be available on CD-ROM.
Notice: Only payment of the registration fee entitles authors to have their papers printed in the Proceedings.
The length of abstract is limited to a maximum of 200 words.
Format the text using the following settings:
- A4 paper size
- margins 2,5 cm
- single line
- 12 pt Times New Roman
- left aligned
- no hyphenation
Please provide the abstract in distinct paragraphs, separated by a blank lines:
- title of the contribution
- (less than 15 words, in lower case letters)
- authors(s) in the format 'Surname, Initials'
(omit titles; if there are authors from more than one institution, then number
them progressively and repeat these numbers next to the respective addresses below),
affiliation(s) and address(es),
- e-mail address of the corresponding author,
- keywords (not more than 6 words),
- text body of the abstract
[do not use hard return ('Enter') at the end of the line, except at the end
of a paragraph; use 'author (year)' format for references within the text, if
any; use 'and' and not '&'; if there are more than two authors, then reduce to
'First author et al.'; put Latin biological names and 'et al.' in italics],
- indication of Plenary Session of which the paper could be part of.
Have the title and abstract checked for correct English (British spelling).
Use the 'Save as' option and 'Microsoft Word 6/95' or 'Rich Text' file format.
Name the file 'SURNAME.DOC' (represents the surname of the first author, abbreviated
to the first 8 characters, if necessary).
Please submit the abstract preferably via e-mail, as an attached file, or on a
floppy disc accompanied with 2 paper printouts.
Notice: In order to allow the organisers to enhance the visibility of collaboration,
the authors of common national and international projects as well as of inter- and
trans-disciplinary research projects are encouraged to coordinate the submission
of their contributions. This will allow the organisers to optimise the structure
of the sessions by clustering the contributions with reference to a common project.
